"And we cheered at the peak of the eclipse. All of us who were watching it clapped. If you think about it, it was such a silly sight from the perspective of the moon. Little humanity, which is often so unreasonably cruel, watches and claps as the moon blocks the sun’s view completely for a few minutes," wrote Ipek Eser, a YJI student from Istanbul now studying at UMass Amherst. In case you've missed the recent great work by Youth Journalism International students I've published recently, here's a little recap: girl in Taiwan reports on earthquake; celebrating Easter in Germany, Maine kid learns how to dye eggs the ancient Ukrainian way, beautiful reflections on Easter sunrise from an Illinois student and a student from Georgia (the country) visited Stalin's hometown and found his fan club. Wild. A couple of overdue Prague conference pieces and a new hometown homage to Alexandria, Egypt by a student who calls it home.
